Ok, probably you're confused reading the article below. The article is about poco-poco while the picture doesn't look a bit like poco-poco. Well.. I will give a short review in my version about indonesian which was held on Dec 08th, 2007 at Unitas.
The evening started at 7 pm with a delicious dinner a la Indonesia. The menu were Rice, Ikan bumbu Bali, Ayam Goreng and Gado-Gado and closed with special dessert, es teler. After the dinner we performed a series of Indonesian traditional songs such as Jali-jali, Kampuan Nan Jauh di Mato, Manuk Dadali and Ampar ampar Pisang. The audience loved it very much, it could be seen from the big applause they gave. Especially when there were two persons dance to Manuk Dadali song. The night was becoming colder outside but not inside Unitas. Once again we performed Indonesian Traditional Art. Five persons danced Ranup Lam Puan, a dance from Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. A presentation and slide show about the beauty of Indonesia follow the next events that night. A special short film prepared by Ika showed several Arts, natural views and culinaries from Indonesia. After the presentation we had an interactive poco-poco dance. Everybody was invited to join the dances. From youngsters to older people tried to move along with the complicated yet attractive poco-poco dance. Of course everybody started to step on each other foot but laughters were everywhere in the room. Making the atmosphere in Unitas became warmer. We enjoy that night very much. Hopefully people will be more interested to Indonesia and want to come to Indonesia. Oow.. about the article below. Because we performed two dances and in a row, probably the writer confuse each other. But true Indonesian will notice right??! Picture can be seen in my picture > PPI wageningen 2 |
