A popular line dance originating from Sulawesi, the steps are said to be based on farming activities such as picking cloves, planting rice, hoeing the fields and peeling coconut fibre. The poco-poco dance became popular a few years ago and has been integrated into aerobics classes and dance lessons throughout Indonesia.
